Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) is offering a scholarship for students starting college in 2012.  The NROTC offers a four-year scholarship worth $180,000 coveriung full tuition, books, fees, uniforms, and a monthly stipend of $250.  For more information, click HERE.

Free Application for Federal Student Aid (free money, the old Pell Grant).  You can apply free online at www.fafsa.ed.gov.

Best Buy Scholarship

Apply at www.bestbuy.com/scholarships.  It is due in February.

Oklahoma Engineering Foundation Scholarship

For seniors who intend to pursue an engineering career but may not be eligible for merit scholarships.  OEF offers several $1,000.00 scholarships which must be used in an engineering curriculum at OSU, OU, TU, OCU, or ORU.  Interested students should go to www.ospe.org, click on the OEF button then click the scholarships link under Activities.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarship

The RMHS Scholarship Program is comprised of 4 individual scholarship programs including:  RMHC/ASIA:  RMHC/African American Future Achievers:  RMHC/HACER (Hispanic American Commitment to Educational Resources):  RMHC Scholars (Everyone else).  For an application to go www.rmhc.org and download a copy of the application or link to an on-line application.  The deadline is in February.

 Elks National Foundation 2008 Most Valuable Student Scholarship Application

Outstanding Students of America

 $1000 scholarships 8-15 given each year Application available at www.outstandingstudentsofamerica.com. Deadline is in October.

The American Legion High School Oratorical Scholarship

This is based on a public speaking contest.  For more information go to www.legion.org

Southeastern Oklahoma State University Honors Program

Parsons Scholarships.Regional University Scholarships.Academic Scholarships. Deadline is January 31.  Presidential Honors Scholarships.Academic Scholars by Nomination.ACT composite of 25 or higher or SAT of 1130 from National Test Date.Letter of Recommendation from HS faculty.One-Page letter outlining qualifications and activities.Approved Application for Admissions to SOSU.7 semester HS transcript.Participation in interviews. 

Oklahoma Society of Land Surveyors

For 12th students interested in Higher Education Land Surveying related programs in Oklahoma.  For more information go to www.surveyingcareer.com .  Deadline is December 31. 

Intertribal Timber Council Scholarships

This scholarship is for Native American/Alaskan students who are pursuing a higher education in Natural Resources.  The deadline is March 31.  For an application and more information go to www.itcnet.org

Burger King Scholars Program

Oklahoma Ready Mixed Concrete Association Essay Contest

Open to students 16-18 years old Possible themes are listed on entry forms Entry forms are available in the office or visit www.ormca.com for contest rules, registration forms, poster form and winning essays from previous years. Oklahoma winner will receive up to $1000 National winner will receive up to $5000. Deadline is in  November.

Gates Millennium Scholars

The GMS was established for low income African American, American Indian/Alaska Natives, Asian Pacific Islander American, and Hispanic American students.  Application deadline is December 31.  For more information and an application go to www.gmsp.org  This is a very lengthy application, start early to gather all of the required documentation.

Wendy's H.S. Heisman Award

This award honors both male and female high school students who excel in academmics, athletics, and student leadership.  The online application is available at www.wendysheisman.com  Deadline to enter is October.

SAE Engineering Scholarships

Applicants must be high school seniors who intend to earn a degree in engineering or a related science.  Due date is in December.  More information is available at http://www.abet.org

Oklahoma JCI Senate Club Scholarships

Go to the website:  http://www.usjcisenate.org/modules/scholarship/generated_forms/OK_Scholarship_App.doc  Print out the documents, instructions and application.  The application may also be filled in and printed directrly from the electronic form.  Application are due by December.   Additional scholarships opportunities are available at http://www.jayceefoundationofok.org

2012 AES Scholarship
