Scholarships and Awards

Scholarships are available for Carney Graduates from many sources.  Click on the links below for more information, including deadlines for application submission:

Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC): Scholarships for students who are just starting college.  The NROTC offers a four-year scholarship covering full tuition, books, fees, uniforms, and a monthly stipend of $250.

Academic Scholars Program: Provides scholarships to academically outstanding students who attend an Oklahoma college or university.  Academic Scholars receive a scholarship to help cover the cost of room, board, tuition, books and incidental fees for up to eight semesters.

Robert C. Byrd Honors Scholarship Program: Recognizes exceptionally able students who show promise of continued excellence. Selected students will receive a one-time scholarship of $1,500 for their first year of study at an institution of higher education. Oklahoma will have scholarships available representing each congressional district.

FAFSA: Free Application for Federal Student Aid (free money, the old Pell Grant). 

Oklahoma Engineering Foundation Scholarship: Offers scholarships only to students who are NOT eligible to receive National Merit Scholarships or Oklahoma Regents Scholarships. Their policy is to award scholarships to students with an intense desire to become practicing engineers.

AES Engineering Scholarship: Offers a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluated the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility;  you are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible.

Wendy's High School Heisman Award: Offered to young men and women who participate in a wide range of sports and school and community activities.

Gates Millenium Scholars Award: Selects 1,000 talented students each year to receive a good-through-graduation scholarship to use at any college or university of their choice. Selected students are provided with personal and professional development through leadership programs along with academic support throughout their college career.

Burger King McLamore Foundation Scholarship: All high school seniors and all BURGER KING® restaurant, corporate and field employees, their spouses and children in the U.S., Canada and Puerto Rico are eligible to apply.

Intertribal Timber Council Scholarships: A number of different scholarships are available.

Southeastern Oklahoma State University Scholarships: Available for students who have been accepted at SE Oklahoma University.

Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarships: Offers scholarships to students in financial need who have demonstrated academic achievement, leadership and community involvement.

American Legion Scholarships: Offers a number of scholarships and other resources to assist young people in their pursuit of higher education. There are opportunities for everyone, including kin of wartime veterans and participants in Legion programs.

Forklift Parts Georgia Lift Parts Express Scholarship: Offers an award for essays written on a pre-determined topic.
